My name is Theresa Nahim. I am an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, teacher trainer, "bookaholic" and movie buff. A native speaker of English, I have taught international students for more than thirty years. Holder of a Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics, I have taught ESL in colleges, universities, adult education centers, living rooms, libraries, cafeterias, and the occasional church basement. I have also taught all levels of English from zero Beginners (no English) to Advanced (including graduate, undergraduate and professional courses). My students have included housekeepers and factory workers, administrators and chief executives of corporations. Some of the courses I have taught are TOEFL Preparation, Conversation, Life Skills, Writing, Accent Reduction (Pronunciation), Citizenship Preparation, and Business English. (Go to the "Resume" page for more information). I am creative, outgoing, and passionate about learning and teaching. Students love my classes for their energy, great fun, and easy, clear explanations of complicated material.
My collection of workshop materials, student lesson plans, and classroom experiences have been bundled into the e-book, “The ESL Teachers’ Workshop Modules,”available from http://booklocker.com/.
